John Gebhardt and the face of Hope

There are people driving about in sleek climate-control cars in the world today who have become stinking rich and powerful from the war in Iraq. These individuals have no concerns about the more than 100 000 civilians killed in that country or the 4 400 United States Troops killed or the $10 billion unaccounted for by contractors or the $1 trillion plus the war has cost thus far.

I personally cannot care less about the money wasted, but the lives are irreplaceable.

Despite the USA's illegal invasion of Iraq, it's photos like these that gives one hope for the future and the fact that there are men and women in that country that still care.

John Gebhardt's wife, Mindy, said that this little girl's entire family was executed. The insurgents intended to execute the little girl also, and shot her in the head, but they failed to kill her. She was cared for in John's hospital and is healing up, but continues to cry and moan. The nurses said John is the only one who seems to calm her down, so John has spent the last four nights holding her while they both slept in that chair. The girl is coming along with her healing.

There are many stories like these coming from Iraq. Good luck to those who care and those who have to continue to suffer to make rich men richer.
