Jacques Kallis - The World's Best Batsman and All-rounder

Jacques Kallis has done it again. A couple of years ago he joined Don Bradman to score five centuries in five consecutive test matches and now he has the best batting average in test cricket in the world even beating the player with the most runs ever, Sachin Tendulkar. In the final test match in the three-match series he not only scored 161 runs in the South African first innings, but came out in the second innings with South Africa in deep trouble to bat us into a position of strength even though he was in excruciating pain for most of his innings due to a side strain. He pushed through showing not only skill, but that South African fighting spirit people have come to expect of our sportsmen.

We expect to see much more from this cricketing great in the future.

Best batsman of the decade. And please don't compare him with Tendulkar, there just isn't any comparison.

Kallis and Tendulkar's average since 1999: 62.44 and 58 respectively.
Kallis and Tendulkar's average w/o Zimbabwe and Bangladesh: 59.47 and 52.8 respectively.
Kallis and Tendulkar's average in second innings: 60.5 and Tendulkar not even in top ten.
